To be a monk is to live the path that the Lord made, it is to go up to
Calvary every minute, every second of every day. It is offering
everything that is experienced for the souls of those who do not know
the path of salvation and who live "enjoying a life" that only leads to
perdition. It is to suffer with joy and to cry with a contrite soul for
one's own sins and for those of those who chose to follow the path of
pleasure and do not know God and His Love.
To be a monk is to live in total surrender, it is to live the Lord's Prayer and to feel the pain of the world.
To be a monk is to fast with the joy of offering God that small sacrifice for a humanity lost in the false gods that the devil gives them.
To be a monk is to live dying for sure that the Resurrection is the great prize, that awaits the chosen, to look death in the eye, because it is our friend.
To be a monk is to live in the fear of God, it is to know that we are sinful garbage and that if we don't repent every moment when the end comes we will be thrown into eternal fire.
To be a monk is to live for, by and with Christ, embracing His Holy Cross and sure that only the denial of ourselves will lead us to humility and humility is the first step on the ladder to the Kingdom.
Being a monk is the greatest gift that the Lord can give us.
